Privacy policy
This is a starting point, not legal advice. Replace the operator details and have it reviewed before you take a booking.
Who controls your data
The operator named in the footer is the data controller for everything described here. Their address and contact details are in the footer and on the contact page.
What we collect, and why
When you book: your name, email address, phone number, the dates and the people travelling with you. We need these to hold the booking and to reach you about it.
When you check in: the identity document details of the lead guest. Several of the countries we operate in require the operator to record and register these. We keep them for as long as the local law requires and no longer.
When you pay: we never see or store your card number. The payment provider handles the card and tells us only whether it worked.
When you browse: pages visited, roughly where you are in the world, and which link brought you here. This is our own analytics, in our own database.
Who else sees it
The payment provider, the email provider, and, where a booking comes through one, the booking channel. Where the site has analytics or advertising tags switched on, those providers receive browsing data subject to your consent. Nobody buys this data and we do not sell it.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as tax law requires, which is usually several years. Analytics data is kept for two years. Anything you send through the contact form is kept until it is dealt with, and then for a year.
What you can ask for
A copy of everything we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. The account area exports your own data without needing to ask. Deletion cannot remove records we are legally required to keep, such as issued invoices.
